I owe the nice folks at Arturia a thank-you, they reminded me of an effect I haven't used in ages, the Eventide H910. It has a certain sound, not really applicable to most of the stuff I work on, but I do love the character of the thing. I use the UAD plugin, but I will admit I gave a brief thought to buying the Arturia version, or maybe even the new FX bundle.
The thing that prevents me from pulling the trigger is that I just don't need 39 more FX plugins. I have a couple of theirs, and they do sound good, but 39? No, my plugin list is already too long. And some of the stuff I keep loaded is stuff that only fits certain styles (the H-910 for example).
I do have their instrument bundle, and that is too many plugin VIs, so I stopped at version 9, haven't seen a compelling reason to update.
Anyway, the purpose of this nonsensical post was simply to suggest that if you have an Eventide H-910 plugin, or something similar, take it for a spin.
