As I am in need of a decent cello library for regular legato I am possibly interested in this one.
Short overview of what I ( don’t) use:
Virharmonic: moved away from it due to it’s sound mainly.
PF vista 2: really like it a lot, but due to it’s sample start it isn’t that suitable to play live with (as in not being able to use the track delay to minus)
Thus: has anyone purchased the Renascere cello and willing to share experience….or those who listened to it and has therefore a yay or nay?
There's more than meets the eye

Re: Waverunner audio Renascere Cello
I haven't used that one but many others, and now heartily recommend Sonixma initmate legato cello (recommended to me by string players I work with) https://www.sonixinema.com/collections/ ... gato-cello .. cheap and is the best sound I've heard (beats things like Tina Guo and Virharmonic Bohemian, Spitfire, Embertone, CSSS etc.). I also use the Fracture sounds solo strings but that's a different vibe.

Re: Waverunner audio Renascere Cello
I have the Renascere cello (I am pals with Ross the developer. ) Tried it out tonight, very lovely tone. The attacks need some work-the legato transitions are uneven and unpredictable. If Ross can balance those out it’s something I’d enjoy using.
I’ve liked his Alder cello very much and used it on tracks. However, It’s a different beast-more suited for ambient work, a little like British Drama Toolkit.

Thank you both for your responses.
Much appreciated.
I have a listen again to both suggestions, of which the sonixinema I considered before, but couldn’t make out if the sound was a bit dull-ish due to the sample looping.
Again, thanks!
