Re: Pro Tools and EuCon 2025.6 released
Jeepers, the quality of the audio in the speech-to-text demonstration is ATROTIOUS. It's not like they are demonstrating a feature that will clean it up - it's just bloody awful for no reason.
I have a particular obsession with terrible quality audio in audio product adverts and tutorials.

More positively, the ability to control midi CCs over EuCon is a big deal. Cubase has had this all to itself since forever. Not sure if all DAWs with EuCon can make use of it, or if it's just Pro Tools.

Re: Pro Tools and EuCon 2025.6 released
I wondered if we might see Pro Tools 2025.6 today, after Avid Control 2025.6 for iOS was released last night.
As usual, there are some nice new features. I expect to use MIDI Live Mode and Speech-To-Text. I often do play ahead of the beat because of latency; and as a result, quantizing sometimes pulls notes in the wrong direction. In the past, I’ve often had to nudge things forward before quantizing. MIDI Live Mode should eliminate the need for that step. Speech-To-Text will be very helpful for dialog and Audible book editing.
I’m not happy about Splice being automatically downloaded with Pro Tools, however. As a Mac user, I didn’t want to pay an inflated price for my internal drive; so I didn’t buy a large internal drive. I don’t want to give up precious space for a feature I’m not going to use. I hope that the audio files are an optional download at least. If not, then I hope they can at least be jettisoned to an external drive.
Guy, I can see why the ability to control MIDI CCs over EuCon is a big deal for anyone using EuCon and MIDI. It’s long overdue.
Best,
Geoff
