Could have sworn that I posted about this before. Alas, I can't find it. So here we go:

Javelin Audio is working on a strings library that focuses on short articulations. Recorded at Trackdown Studios (same venue as Cinematic Studio Strings). It will offer more than 26 short articulations, up- and downbow samples.
They released a new shorts video which, in my opinion, sounds impressive:
Short articulations often have no continuity and sound unmusical when you switch between them mid-sentence. Not so here. The volume and timbre match very well between all the articulations. And the gradations of lengths you get with these fill a huge gap in the world of sampling. Ever tried to mockup of Mendelson-esque scherzo with current offerings? No dice. I hope Javelin Strings will get us a lot closer to realizing sprightly, nuanced music with it's variations of short articulations. Jayden wrote that a release is still some way off.
There's more than meets the eye
