Image Line are the owners of FL Studio. There will be growth synergies.

For those interested in expanding their UVI instruments collection, FL are running two rather attractive UVI bundle sales.

These aren’t for me, but out of curiosity are they simply bundled existing versions to you know? It says “tailored for FL studio” so wondering if they’re limited by plugin type or something (when Falcon was a Pro Tools perk, it was AAX-only).
EDIT - it is a free-for-all, no restrictions, so that’s a good deal if you can use the stuff.

Re: Image Line acquire UVI (and UVI bundle sales)
Interesting news.
Thanks for the heads up.
I wonder what this means for Falcon, and the UVI Workstation platform, and what attracted Image Line to go ahead with the purchase.
I'm also curious if this will help improve/speed up development, and popularity of Falcon/UVI Player in the sample library world of commerce, i.e. Have more sample developers use Falcon/UVI instead of Kontakt ?

Re: Image Line acquire UVI (and UVI bundle sales)
A few sort-of answers from Scott at Image Line, who posted this on KVR. A brief bit of context - there had been a lot of noise about how big A DAW FL Studio (ex Fruity Loops) is. My perception was that it is almost irrelevant today, but there was a lot of evidence to suggest this is not only wrong but 180 degrees wrong, and it is the most used DAW on Mac/Windows.
https://www.kvraudio.com/forum/viewtopi ... &start=195Surprising as it may be to some, we have been growing very rapidly over the last decade. FL Studio is installed 30.0000 times/day with peaks up 70.000 times/day during new releases, with some of the biggest producers using FL Studio to create chart-topping music all over the world.
That success puts us in a position to strengthen the Image-Line business with the addition of companies, and most importantly talent, that compliments what we do.
UVI are already doing very well by themselves and they will continue to create and release high-quality products independently for their entire user base. We will be looking to combine and complement each other's offerings where it makes sense for the respective customers in the future.
No, we will not mess with their business or stop the sale of their VST/AU etc, that would be silly.
Anything more, you will need to wait and see. We have proven, I would hope, with our Lifetime Free Updates policy that has stood for 25 years, we can be trusted to keep our word. The whole team prides itself in doing the right thing by our customers. Actions speak louder than words here.
We have positive and good things coming for both FL Studio and UVI customers and both businesses will continue to work independently from a product perspective.
Regards Scott

Re: Image Line acquire UVI (and UVI bundle sales)
Not sure why it's there for you Anders, but it ended for everyone else a year ago! Maybe it's about to drop off your account too:
I don't know if it's still valid, but UVI offered a $100 crossgrade to the full version (it included $100 voucher too, so fairly irresistable), might be worth contacting them - https://support.uvi.net/hc/en-us/articl ... Falcon-AAX
https://avid.secure.force.com/pkb/artic ... Falcon-FAQThis can occur on/after Feb 1, 2022 with the version of Falcon bundled with Pro Tools Subscriptions and Perpetual licenses since this was a limited time bundling that ended Jan 31, 2022.
Customers who received the bundled version of Falcon still have use of it until their Subscription or Software Updates + Support Plan renews or expires. This means up to 1 month for Monthly Subscriptions, and up to 1 year for Annual Subscriptions or Software Updates + Support Plans. (Note that having multiple terms paid in advance will not extend the Avid Falcon AAX license past that first term.)

Well it’s inexplicable, frankly. You see the notices from both Avid and UVI - it is no more.
