NI Komplete 14 & Kontakt 7

Announced today, mostly as per all the leaks, though Ozone Standard is bundled with all but Select and there are Brainworx products bundled too. Pre-orders now, release September 27, grace period from now (probably - details TBC)



Kontakt 7 is out in October and includes Hi DPI GUI, a new browser, new effects and factory library (including contributions from Orchestral Tools).

hmmm... very little to lure me in, especially in the Standard edition. I already own any of the listed products that I use. Of course I do want to get my hands on Kontakt 7, I'm probably not alone. Unless Kontakt 7 is priced higher than the standard bundle I believe I will pass. I guess this is what happens when you've been using their products since the days of FM7<G>.

Ultimate finally looks like a good upgrade for me - when it goes on sale at 50% off. I'm patient, I can wait. I wonder if that Ozone license will be able to be re-sold.

There’s a fair few things I’d like in there - Kontakt 7 and Lores are top of the list for me.

Still a little unclear on grace periods - I have that unopened CE 13 upgrade sat on my shelf.

The good news is that the choir itself sounds promising, it’s those awful tight but flabby drums dominating the mix that sit in no known universe with the choir that make me want to rip my own ears off. The second demo is considerably less wretched.

Hoping better demos and a walkthrough are coming by release day.

I don't see anything special that I would need in Komplete 14, I will most likely just purchase Kontakt 7 Upgrade if that is offered. Hopefully they will offer an attractive Upgrade price from Kontakt 6.
