Listening Through

Post by kpc »

I ran across this article the other day about "Listening Through". the idea being you start with an artist's catalog and listen in chronological order. Not as background. Not in the car. But really take the time to listen to each cut. Doesn't all have to be at once. I guess maybe one record at a time?

He goes so far and to do a bit of reading (discogs, AllMusic, Wikipedia) about each release and a bit about the time frame it is released in.

I like this idea a lot, and invite you all to join in. Pick an artist and maybe have a chat about what you learn from this experience? I am going to start with Bob James.

Cheers.
