I simply cannot resist these tangents, I promise I will at least mention the plugin at the end of the post.

That's funny, Guy.
Ah, Alan Partridge ...
Shit! Did you see THAT?!
He must have a foot like a traction engine.
...and so many more. Namedrop 1 - I did a couple of the I'm Alan Partridge series 2 ("mentalist!"), which was a ridiculous thrill. They did keep rewriting and improvising all day. In the presence of comedy Gods.
PS - if you can VPN the BBC Sounds content, there's a Radio 4 show called The Reunion where they - hey - reunite people from various events or productions. They just did The Day Today, still an absolute high water mark in British comedy for me. Sadly recluse Chris Morris opted out as usual, but Steve Coogan, Armando Ianucci, Patrick Marber, Doon Mackichan and yes Steve Coogan were all present and correct.

Also from the British comedy front, but on an infinitely sadder note: I was shocked to learn yesterday that Sean Lock has passed away. Didn't know he was ill, so this news hit hard. Always liked Lock. All my favourite episodes of QI have Lock in them.
Deeply sad, and I had no idea either. I literally cried out "NOOOO". My favourite show of his was the little-seen 15 Storeys High, which I believe is all on YouTube. Haven't seen it for years, but thought it was just tremendous, a mostly 2-hander with the equally wonderful Benedict Wong who has since been in so many great films, not least The Martian. Namedrop 2 - I sat next to Benedict at an award ceremony where my little film was up for something it didn't win. I recognised his voice first, and plucked up the courage to say hello, as I'd not long seen 15 Storeys so I think he was rather pleased someone had even heard of it or him. We chatted all night, he was absolutely lovely.
I never worked with Sean Lock, but he was such a gentle but wonderful talent.
Now, this plugin. I watched the video, and of course it sounds brilliant fun. Automating the filter seems appealing, right? Some very cool effects there. Well, I can't buy it after all I bleat on about in the other thread... well I SAY I can't buy it, but I probably will in a sale one day, even though I have saturators literally coming out of my literal ears.
