NI Massive X 1.7 update

Post by Guy Rowland »

Image

NI's current flagship synth, Massive X has had a, well, massive overhaul. There's a new Play tab where you can morph between different macro settings via an XY pad, and animate this easily with different shapes. This screen is also the heart of a new Massive X Player available in the Komplete Start free bundle (comes with 60 presets).

The browser has also had an update, defaulting to single click auto-load and keeping the browser open, double click to closing. You can also tag 3rd party presets for the first time.

I've never bonded with Massive X. This update does potentially moves it from the grueling to fun category.

Update available in Native Access.

Updated today to 1.7 (NI still turns...)

It's a functional update, the biggest of which is being able to automate any parameter.

Man, I often forget Massive (and X) exists which is a shame because I really like it (both versions). It's one of the reasons I bought Komplete in the first place, however many eons ago that was (what year is it?!). This reminds me to pull it back out soon, thanks Guy!
