Ten days or so into my trial of Saturn 2, I’m actually quite pleased. Much as I like a bargain, I’ll probably end up buying it at retail or close to retail price.
I’m essentially a preset tweaker. I like to dial up something that sounds pretty good to me and then tweak it a bit from there. I find that some Saturn 2 presets provide me with that “glueiness” that I’ve been looking for, some help with punchiness. My use case mostly involves strapping it across the stereo outs but it’s helpful on individual tracks as well, drums, bass, vocals. Rather than shopping around endlessly (though I REALLY appreciate all the suggestions) I’ll probably stick with Saturn for now.

You'll get a lot of mileage out of it, Larry, good choice.

FabFilter doesn't really ever do discounts steeper than 20%, anyway (unless you buy in bulk) so you won't get much out of waiting for a sale anyway. It's a thoroughly capable processing plugin, like everything they make, well worth the cost of admission!
