Hi all,
I've been wondering how I can create the percussion sounds you hear in this track. Are there any libraries/Synth preset banks in the market that have loops like this that can be tweaked further? Thank you

Re: Need suggestion for percussion libraries
Take a listen to the Drumstruck series from The UnFinished (Kontakt-based). They’re a little understated out of the box, but I think you could get some similar sounds. Also, some of his soundsets for various synths.
AVA and Keepforest have some similar stuff I believe, although I’m not as familiar. You could also take a listen to some of the Hybrid Tools libraries from 8dio.
Curious as to what other ideas people have.

Drumstruck does seem good. I also find Heavyocity's DM307 good for this kinda thing. I always think Damage's sonic signature is too identifiable and often too much, while DM307 feels less over-used.

Maybe Steinbergs Backbone might be worth a look. Not exactly a classic percussion sample library but it's astounding what it can do I find. I took a look at it after reading the thread at vi-cntl. You can get it for fee at Plugin Boutique by purchasing any other plugin. So potentially for a couple of dollars.I got it yesterday and think it has a lot of potential to make interesting percussive sounds to your liking and a lot more.

Re: Need suggestion for percussion libraries
I just bought Backbone, well not really, bought a "something" for like $6 just to get Backbone. It's a monster plugin! Not the regular drum VST but rather something completely different. Haven't wrapped my head around it just yet but if I only use the presets it's worth the money, no doubt.Markus K wrote: ↑Feb 04, 2025 2:16 pm Maybe Steinbergs Backbone might be worth a look. Thanks guys. I picked up Backbone a few days ago. Haven't got a chance to sit with it yet. Need to understand how it works.
