This is a reduced version of Myth, but a free version, I give it * * * * *, and it is available since today. Excellent and unique synth or rather a re-synthesiser (Mac/ Win), MPE (Osmose, Roli Seabord etc.) the little brother of Myth for free here:

Downloaded it today, looks quite interesting. Will spend some time with it this weekend. I have a bunch of field recordings to run through it - can't wait to hear it. Thanks for posting!

I bought Myth in a heartbeat after I heard the new re-synth engine.

This was the patch from Simon that instantaneously convinced me. The fun you can have with the synth modules, organised like a pedal board from left to right, to me this is a mind blowing inspirational sound design tool. The colours in the iris represent the layers of the re synthesised sample and you can use the transformer buttons to blend between them via an LFO for example.
How does it compare to Halion/Padshop 2?

Simon:
It very much depends on the source sample but overall the resynthesis in MYTH is up to par and often better, not necessarily for complex tonal textures or chords, neither for bells/metallic percussion. But in MYTH the options to transform the resynthesized material are vast and the FM sounds pretty fantastic.

Very cool indeed, Georg. I can see the benefits of the dual engine in MYTH over ZYCLØP. What a canvas for experimentation this is, truly seems fun.

Back in time, a long time in deed.... I bought my first multitimbral synth after working for a month on a Christmas market. The Yamaha TG33, a vector synth, Yamaha's answer to Korg's Wavestation, and boy did I have fun with that desktop synth.Luciano Storti wrote: ↑Nov 22, 2024 11:27 am Very cool indeed, Georg. That's the fun level Myth provides me with currently.
