My interest here would be that I can upgrade from C 10.5 to 13 for $99.
Don’t need it at the moment but I’ll buy it and have it in waiting. The price certainly seems reasonable.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Good timing for Finale users.
If you own some of the sale products and log in, you get vouchers that give some really steep discounts. In my case - presumably as a Cubase 13 user - Wavelab Pro and Absolute 6 are both £127, RRP £424 (Absolute 6 is Halion and a large suite of other instruments). Dorico is £147. Don't think I need any of them, but they are all very good deals.

I presume the old trick will still work that you update to the latest version if the code is unredeemed? I've made good use of that in the past.

I assume so (and am certainly hoping so!)Guy Rowland wrote: ↑Aug 29, 2024 4:00 am Good timing for Finale users.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
As a Cubase user, Dorico is 168 CHF for me. Good offer, I think I'll actually jump ship from my version of Sibelius that I haven't updated in years.
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
One question about the update for Cubase. I am on Cubase 13. On sale is the update from Cubase 12 Pro to 13 Pro. If I buy this, can I use it later on to upgrade to Cubase 14? I'm unsure because the text reads 'update from Cubase 12'.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Honestly not sure Linos...
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
That's the gamble. I think I will just try it. After all, I do own Cubase 12 as well if I own Cubase 13.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Thinking I may move to Dorico from Sibelius as well, Linos. Although, truth be told, I don’t use notation programs very often — usually for marching percussion more than anything else. The 50% deal slightly edges out the crossgrade deal (as I don’t own any of the other eligible products to knock the price down further). I do have NotePerformer for Sibelius. Will have to think on this a bit more.
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
I’m not the least bit sad about the collapse of Finale.. It’s just been dying a slow death for a few years now. Some original features have gone missing and I think the coding is perhaps too old for modern systems. Support was hit and miss for quite some time as well. Looking forward to the switch to Dorico. Like many others, I don’t use notation programs very often, but my close associate does, and he stayed with Finale right until the end, simply because he knew the program so well.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Noteperformer works with Dorico Mike. Noteperformer is one of the most important programs for me, so I wouldn't want to miss it. I bought Dorico, but I will probably wait to activate until after Dorico 6 has been released. If the Steinberg upgrade trick works, my license should activate Dorico 6 then.

Great to know, thanks!Linos wrote: ↑Aug 30, 2024 11:36 am Noteperformer works with Dorico Mike. Noteperformer is one of the most important programs for me, so I wouldn't want to miss it. Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Strangely, an update discount seems to have disappeared.
I was planning to update from 10.5 to 13 and I saw a price of $99. Now when I check the site, the only update I see for Cubase is from 12-13. Did mine vanish or am I missing something?

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
I’m seeing a price of $144.50 CAN for an update from your version, Larry, but yes, the update path is still there for you. Since your dollar is higher than ours, the price for you may very well be ca. $99 US.

Frank, can you send me a link? The guy me I have shows no
update path for my version.
update path for my version.
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Sorry, but the My Steinberg vouchers are for buying the full version only….at least for me they are. i am upgrading from Wavelab 11.2 to version 12 and the best price, including the current discount, is only available via the Steinberg web site. Larry wanted to upgrade, not purchase a new full version, so I am assuming the information I provided applies to him as well.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
That's weird, my vouchers do the 70% upgrades.playz123 wrote: ↑Sep 06, 2024 10:10 amSorry, but the My Steinberg vouchers are for buying the full version only….at least for me they are. i am upgrading from Wavelab 11.2 to version 12 and the best price, including the current discount, is only available via the Steinberg web site. Perhaps there's something screwy with the system?
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Yes, very strange, Guy. No option anywhere on My Steinberg > Vouchers for me to select upgrade, only full versions. Larry mentioned a glitch somewhere as well, so perhaps there are inconsistencies. However I am seeing the full discount for upgrades via the Steinberg site and also the ability to select various upgrade options (as indicated). That doesn’t match what you are seeing.Guy Rowland wrote: ↑Sep 06, 2024 10:27 amThat's weird, my vouchers do the 70% upgrades.playz123 wrote: ↑Sep 06, 2024 10:10 amSorry, but the My Steinberg vouchers are for buying the full version only….at least for me they are. i am upgrading from Wavelab 11.2 to version 12 and the best price, including the current discount, is only available via the Steinberg web site. Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
One thing I just noticed - mine are actually loyalty rebates ie discounts on other products. I do have Wavelab and have a 70% rebate off Pro. What I don't have is an upgrade for the same product but a newer version.
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
So yeah, it’s weird. I don’t see what you see, Frank. When I click on updates, the only one available to me is from 12 to 13. Very strange glitch.
Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Yes, loyalty rebates on My Steinberg for full versions, not the upgrade path like Larry appears to want. He mentioned no longer seeing a $99 upgrade, but from here that is still available to him on the main Steinberg web site.

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Okay, Larry, when you go to "Buy Cubase 13", then Buy Cubase 13 Pro, on the third page do you not see the 3 options shown at the top in my image?? Maybe try a different browser?

Re: Steinberg 50% off sale
Thanks Frank-Yeah, not showing on my end. Good thought, I will try a different browser
