Orange Tree Samples has released Flute Flight, a collection featuring piccolo, concert flute, alto flute, and bass flute.

With so much ( better) options on the market I do question what made them think they delivered a product that stands out from the crowd….

Man, that vibrato is metronomic.
I find uses for Passion Flute, but not so much this.

Very unappealing and unexciting all around, I agree. The attacks, the transitions, the sustains, the vibrato, the overal timbres, ... none of it sounds good. (The demos have a strange pre-21st century aroma as well, I find.) I actually have a hard time believing this is a genuine Orange Tree library. Greg usually shows himself the possessor of a very good ear and he takes care of the details. I don't hear any of that here.

Yes, I’m a fan of Greg’s work as well. This one is a head scratcher.

Yeah, I was very surprised when I saw all of the high praise on VIC.
