my favorite jazz composer has passed away... they're all going one by one. Just saw a post by Adam Nussbaum

A giant has left us, and left us with such a beautiful musical legacy.

I was lucky enough to see Wayne Shorter with Weather Report back in the '70s, on the Heavy Weather tour.

I agree, we lost a giant of jazz.
