The electric baritone guitar: a sound which many people who lived through the Twin Peaks age will associate with that series, even though its Main Title’s iconic deep guitar sound isn’t a baritone guitar (apparently, it’s a combination of sampling and synthesis). Sounds very much like one though, and would work quite well if played one one.
For some reason, the baritone guitar hasn't made it all that often into a serious sample library yet. There's one in Omnisphere but that can hardly be called a thoroughly sampled effort. There is a deeply sampled specimen available now however, the Evolution Baritone Electric, from the workshops of Orange Tree Samples and the Rosewood Recording Company.
"Evolution Baritone Guitar gives you the unmistakable sound of a baritone electric guitar, complete with iconic lipstick pickups and an extra long scale length. The long scale length provides additional sustain and tuning stability, both invaluable traits for such a low-tuned guitar. Specifically, the guitar was sampled in “A Standard” tuning, which is a perfect fifth lower than the typical guitar tuning.
The guitar’s lipstick pickups have a naturally scooped mid frequency range, making them an ideal pairing for baritone guitars. These unique single-coil pickups alleviate muddiness while providing a pure bass response and crisp highs. We recorded the bridge and neck pickups as separate signals which can be blended together for a wide range of tones: anything from the classic twang of the bridge pickup to the warm, woody sound of the neck pickup.
The library was developed in collaboration with Rosewood Recording Company, one of Utah's most venerable recording studios. Guy Randle, the owner and recording engineer at Rosewood Recording Company, incorporated analog audio equipment to skillfully sculpt and emphasize the rich tonal qualities of the baritone guitar. Evolution Baritone Electric includes both the as-recorded signal as well as an enhanced signal that can be blended to your taste.
Evolution Baritone Electric is based on our Evolution engine, which provides you with a wealth of appointments: a flexible mapping system, chords and strumming patterns, and a comprehensive collection of built-in effects for mix-ready baritone guitar tones.
The library includes many ready-to-use factory presets for a variety of classic and modern baritone guitar tones, from the classic combination of tremolo and splashy spring reverb to dreamy, ambient soundscapes. Not to mention the legendary Nashville tic-tac sound, the layering of an upright bass with a palm muted baritone guitar (or Bass VI)."
Intro price (until December 14th) is $139, after that, it will be $179

Re: Orange Tree / Baritone Electric
It sounds great, to my ears at least, but I would only have limited use for it at this time. Will keep it in mind though for the future.
