Another day, another iZotope update. Here's the new stuff in Neutron 4:
Assistant View inc Tone Match
You can load in a reference file and it will sculpt your sound to match it. This technology is in several iZotope products, but it looks a slick implementation for general use.
Unmask
A dedicated module to unmaking once source from another. A bit perplexing this one, as that's exactly what I can do in Neutron 3's EQ module already.
Trash distortion
Looks like the old Trash 2 stuff is available within Neutron 4's Exciter module with a slick interface.
Punch Mode
There's a new Punch mode in the Compressor module.
The whole thing is $299 new, and is part of various bundles. There is a new Music Production Suite 5 Universal Edition including "six additional plug-ins from our partner, Brainworx plus two more major flagship product updates to your suite this fall at no additional cost", this is $599 intro price. My updates are $149 from Neutron 3 to 4, and $299 from Music Production Suite 3. Nowhere near enough new stuff to justify the jump in my case, but I'll likely get it in some much cheaper bundle update further down the road, that's what seems to happen with me.
