Maybe compare first with Aberrant's SketchCassette before you buy, Guy. That's also on sale. (Almost half the price of WavesFactory's Cassette.)

Ah thanks, I'd forgotten about that one. I just demoed it, and it's very good too - quite similar. What gave it an edge for me is it has an effective "switching out the noise reduction" feature, and that suddenly felt very familiar - everything recorded with Dolby B and switched out to give it more top.

I'll likely only use it for very specific degradation chores, so I'll probably go completely over the top with the thing.

Eventide's sale is up. (Did we discuss SplitEQ here? Some talk about this revolutionising the EQ... again... that's $99)
https://www.eventideaudio.com/plug-ins/

JRR Shop have some good discounts on MusicLab and their Real Guitar series
https://www.jrrshop.com/musiclab

They also have Ircam LAB's TS2 and Snail plugins on offer for $99 and $39 respectively
https://www.jrrshop.com/ircam-lab?dir=d ... _from_date

I'm still underwhelmed by TS2's pitch shifting algorithm, but in full candour I do keep it installed in permanent demo mode. It's very good for modest real time pitch shifting on the fly to try out stuff in different keys, but when it comes to the actual job of pitch shifting for real I use other tools. If they improved their algorithm I'd likely jump on it.

Thank you for this!

I'll add my site for a go-to list of deals: https://www.audiopluginguy.com/all-the- ... gin-deals/

I'll probably update my Melodyne so I can use the polyphonic algo in Pro Tools. Otherwise I'm a little more focused on loops this time 'round. Check out We Sound Human (wesoundhuman.com) for some good ones.

I might talk myself into updating to Guitar RIg 6. We'll see how many impulse buys I make, though. Tis the season! :D

McDSP may be a name that some would associate more with an era-gone-by of digital signal processing — they were in on it from the very beginning (and McDSP algorithms are still present in DAW's like Logic, Cubase and ProTools) — than with today’s cutting edge technology, but the fact is: many pro’s and high-end studio’s still swear by the tools of this developer, preferring them above much of what has been released since. The McDSP limiters in particular — the legendary ML4000 and its multi-band version, the ML8000 — are still widely considered to be among the very, very best.

This preamble only to lend some weight to the news that McDSP are having a Black Friday sale as well. Up to 75% off on some of their products. (Do check out the ML8000 if you have some time to spare. It’s seriously good.)

I mourn the loss of these interfaces, and I was looking forward to updates.

I know I can keep both, but unfortunately it requires you to redownload ALL the samples... for me that's Cinestrings Core and Solo, CineWinds Core and Pro, Cinebrass Core and Pro, CinePerc (lucky updated before this fiasco), it's got to be approaching 1TB of downloads, all for a bland GUI and some denoising and fixes, which should be in the orginal version. I'll need a new SSD and a month or two of downloading.

And I was just thinking last month that Cinesamples was the one company that stuck with their GUI and didn't go all corporate like 8Dio and AI... but no. As a mixer I love their original GUI. Glad I got it all before they chucked it all in the tin.

[TANGENT]X - I know what you mean. I don't dislike the new interface at all, but it is yet another monster-size one that everyone seems to go for these days, and I prefer them smaller. But it's the same thing for me as LASS 3, I have it all set how I like it in the template, I'm not sure how much I'll gain by downloading it all again, needing all that drive space to get, essentially, the same thing.[/TANGENT]

Meanwhile deals now up for:

NUGEN - up to 60% off (anyone here use MasterCheck or their Mastering Bundle btw? - looks interesting to prepare for streamers etc)
(at everyplugin - https://everyplugin.com/deals/shopby/ma ... audio.html )

FABFILTER - 25% off
https://www.fabfilter.com/shop?currency=gbp&vat=1

PLOGUE - 50% off

Toontrack's deals today are more interesting for many of us I think.

SDXs
73% off Metal Foundry and New York Studios vol3

EZXs
70% off Hip Hop, Progressive and Big Rock Drums expansions

https://www.toontrack.com/black-friday/

I have several of these already. Big Rock Drums would be new though - £18 from Timespace in the UK.

Spitfire Audio is ~80% OFF individual + bundles.

Goodhertz is ~30% OFF. Lossy can do an interesting "low bit internet streaming" effect versus usual bitcrusher.

Big fan of Lossy here, nothing else does this effect AFAIK (though someone will doubtless now prove me wrong!)

Liquidsonics have good discounts across their range including Cinematic Rooms and the famous Seventh Heaven range
https://www.liquidsonics.com/store/

Steinberg have 30% off lots including Cubase - this will include the free update to 12 on release. Upgrades and crossgrades too.
https://www.steinberg.net/promotion/ - use code CYBERWEEKS21 on these prices.

Ableton 25% off
https://www.ableton.com/en/shop/ - login for upgrade prices

And now a request - Avid have a 50% discount for Pro Tools subs, but no offers for perpetual licenses (seems to be the way of it now). Often retailers do their own discounts however, and I see Musician's Friend should have 15% off. Unfortunately their website is non-functioning for me on multiple machines - whatever search terms I enter comes up with the same random product (today a Pro Tools Ultimate search results in a rather fetching acoustic guitar). Is anyone else getting this? Or anyone else know of big retailer discounts across the range?

BestService has it for $89.20. Cheaper plus you'll get their BestCoin loyalty thing with the purchase that you can use later.

Black Octopus Sound is ~60% OFF. They have some really cool vocal sample packs (if you are okay working with individual audio clips - which is totally fine for me) as well as dance music stuff.

Project Sam has 30% store wide sale.

Very tempted by This. I do wish they would offer a Symphobia 1 and 3 pack instead of 2 and 3.

And on twitter they announced Symphobia 1 update coming soon.

Edit: announced on thier webpage
