I have Analog Labs and when I compare the thickness and versatility, I go for A.L.
Oh, Syntronik interface is a little annoying too (for me.)
Obsession, on the other hand, sounds pretty dope to me.

Re: Synapse Audio OBSESSION Synth Released !
Again, if I had fewer I liked I might be about getting the best emu possible but I have plenty, and I already had Sampletank and Syntronik installed so what the hell.

Re: Synapse Audio OBSESSION Synth Released !
I have to stop watching/listening to demo videos.
Right now I am pretty happy with the Brainworx Oberhausen. It is not an exact clone of any Oberheim synth that I am familiar with, but it sounds great, and definitely brings up memories of the Oberheim (X) voice and the OB-X families.
The Synapse, on the other hand, looks to be a pretty faithful emulation, and that too would be fun to use. And the demos sound really good. I'm imagining this paired with the u-He Repros, and maybe my hardware MKS-80. That could turn into a very large sound<G>!
So I'll take the demo for a spin.

Most of the patches in the video posted at the top of this thread are lovely, wet, and cinematic. Nothing wrong with that; but they bring more to mind Luftrum sound banks and Stranger Things than the '80s pop classic sounds I covered with my OB-8 back in that era. (I'm glad, though, that I didn't have to suffer through another rendition of Van Halen's "Jump.")
I may buy this for the former purpose, but I don't yet hear anything that would motivate me to buy it for the latter.
Best,
Geoff
