Yes, this is a new plugin for creating custom tire sounds. You still need to add an engine, but this plus the Krotos plugin could make some decent custom sounds. $159 intro price.

Don’t get me wrong, the walkthrough plays as bad as a trumpet sound endlessly looping, but when tailored to picture (later in the video) seems like it could pass once the engine is added.
I think for those people that do a lot of cars, this may be quicker then hunting and editing wav files (though this will always sound better when done right with lots of time). At this point I don’t do enough to justify the cost, but at a half price sale ($99) it might be worth the few times I would need it. Having a variety of sources for these kinds of sounds is ideal. Since the same sounds (even at different pitches) over different cars gets to sound redundant.
My only request on it would be separate outputs, like Krotos, for squeal, gravel, and tire sound. That way mixers can adjust those elements witohut touching the others.
And I’m not sure you can just use separate instances to make up for the outputs, since they may have interactive controls that would all need to be adjusted. Perhaps cc assigning them all. But the video did not state if this is possible on all controls. This is how Kontakt has spoiled me.
Anyone here that would use this regularly? Perhaps for TV or webseries?

Re: Grip from Boom
It's actually not a bad price at all eh X, and a great looking and sounding tool (though I wasn't so keen on their squealing sound). Like other similar tools it feels a little specialised for occasional use where conventional libraries get you by, but were I doing dramas to picture daily I'd get it like a shot.
(I also have a slightly tedious issue with Kontakt in Pro Tools for the past few years, where it routinely crashes on patch loading. Only reliable workaround is to host in VE Pro, as its specific to the AAX version. I know most don't suffer from this but I most definitely do. NI are on the case, they've actually had a great 1-1 remote session with me, but its all still ongoing. Anyway, I only mention it because my enthusiasm for Kontakt foley products is in general a little diminished til that gets resolved on my rig(s) once and for all).
