Swing and Swing More Updates

Post by playz123 »

New updates for Swing and Swing More from Project Sam:
https://projectsam.com/swing-series-update/

What's notable is that they are for Kontakt 6.1+. Soundiron just released Hyperion Strings Elements, also for K6, as did Stephano with Ethera Gold. And there are more examples. So, in answer to a previous question Guy asked, it appears more developers are jumping on the K6 bandwagon now, and eventually it may be important for most people to ensure they have that version of Kontakt.

Actually my question was specifically regarding non-Player libraries Frank. I believe there are a handful now, but they are quite slow to come to market still. Anything that is Player library, the K6 requirement isn't much of an issue - if you only have a license for full K5, you can just use the free player.

Aw-w, guess I forgot your reason. Old age will do that to people sometimes. :) Anyway, my point was that more and more libraries are coming out that require K6. For my, I don't feel just the free K6 player will be sufficient for much longer, and am happy I upgraded. I prefer the full version anyway.

Thanks, Frank.

For half price I have to consider Swing More, but damn. I have to hack my octogenarian computer to get it past El Capitan. Looks like it's time-I bought the Komplete 12U upgrade and can't dl K6, Reaktor, Massive etc. Oh well, into the brave new world for me.

Btw-just my opinion, but "Symphony Essentials" blows chunks. I haven't gotten to brass or strings yet, but the woods and percussion are a pile of poop. Waste of HD space, will be wiped.

Cheers, Larry!
And there's now a very good tutorial using Swing that Project Sam has just posted:

MIDI files for Cubase and Logic for the tutorial are also available at their web site.

Planning to go through this tomorrow.
