Spectrasonics Keyscape Creative Library

Post by Guy Rowland »

Image

Announced today (19th Jan) at NAMM
The “Keyscape Creative” library is a cutting-edge collection of over 1200 Omnisphere patches specially designed for users who also have Keyscape. The vast new library was produced by Eric Persing, and features a tremendous variety of patches created by our amazing Sound Development team, showcasing the power of combining Keyscape and Omnisphere 2.

Keyscape’s richly detailed keyboard sounds have been dramatically transformed using Omnisphere 2’s deep synthesis capabilities. The new patches offer an extremely wide variety of incredible sounds for modern music producers and are available now as a FREE update. Users can simply update both products to get the new patches, which then appear in Omnisphere 2’s patch browser as a new directory.
Now that IS cheering news :-) Will be trying this later....

Good lord. 15 mins into a first play. Keyscape is about to treble its sales.

My new favourite patch is Death Stare Stab, and not just because of the name.

Maybe at the weekend, Kayle, but by them I doubt there would be a need...

It's really terrific, feels like getting a whole new (and excellent) synth. The bells and keyboard sections in particular provide what I was looking for originally - loads of hybrid and organic variations on the factory stuff, hugely playable and making use of the depth of the soundsources but moving them on. I guess that's a relatively small part of it overall though, the rest goes off into pretty much every conceivable direction, bearing no relation to anything obvious from Keyscape at all, and it's all extremely high quality as you'd expect.

I mean, the size of the thing. It would take days to go through it properly, all I've done is get a feel for the range of it.

Well, I've been able to hold off on Keyscape this long - but it got a little harder today. Good thing I locked my wallet in the fire Safe and threw the key into a snow bank. Have to wait till spring now. Looking forward to hearing this library.

I spend 2 hours going through many of the patches today and find them at a high and outstanding quality. Free stuff can not be that good, however here it is.

Nice video today on Facebook of the man himself, Mr. Stevie Wonder, playing a few Keyscape patches at the Spectrasonics booth at NAMM. Eric looks very happy!

Starts with Stevie at about 5:50

Interesting, Guy...your video is taken from an entirely different camera angle than the one I saw.

Thanks Guy, I thought Eric might build some patches for KS, but I never imagined 1200! Glad I got Keyscape, but now I realize I can't wait on the Omni 2 update any longer. This is a good example of why I'm willing to pay full price for Eric's products and updates, but Spitfire leaves me scratching my head. 2K for a 3/4 Orch and then MORE for the Masse patches? So glad the Inflexible Air sound is not to my liking, it's saving me a bundle. :D Bravo to Eric for getting some great sound designers on these patches and putting out such a collection for free. Glad you were so vocal about it. ;)
