I can't think why I'd need one unless of course (silly me) any new apps and plugins won't be registered on my iLok 2

If you don't use it mobile, Ray, I'd say you definitely don't. If you're one of those many with broken bits of plastic that hold many thousands of dollars of goods and have it jutting out of your laptop, I'd say you definitely do.

I agree on the form factor, but mine doesn't leave the studio these days, so I'm in no hurry.
