Well there's no secret, so if it's not bad form to name other places in any given forum then why not. It might be a bit grubby for one of us mods to say anything though,

I'd rather you didn't.

....and we very, very much intended and still intend it to be that way.

it's a rarity we erase anything over there, that's the policy...no issue at all.

The policy there, IMHO, is no policy.

No and I was just joking, should have put the smiley face.
But the truth is that now that i don't work for EW, I would not bother participating there except for the fact that I do get Logic Pro clients so it is a business thing. And to be fair, they are being a lot nicer to Ashermusic than they were to EW Lurker

We should introduce a policy against blatant lies (mandatory expulsion?).Ashermusic wrote:..... I was just joking, ......

Not to stir the pot, but one of the last things to be erased there was in one of *my* posts, which was edited against my will, and at the request (demand, actually) of both Doug and Jay.Ashermusic wrote:The policy there, IMHO, is no policy.

Yep, it is totally unpredictable, which is why I say, there is no policy.Mike Greene wrote:Scoredog wrote:it's a rarity we erase anything over there, that's the policy...no issue at all.Not to stir the pot, but one of the last things to be erased there was in one of *my* posts, which was edited against my will, and at the request (demand, actually) of both Doug and Jay.Ashermusic wrote:The policy there, IMHO, is no policy.
In that case probably Fred just caved in to Doug not to lose the advertising dollars. I don't think I carry that much weight

(Just been very slow on the update to realise MIKE GREENE IS HERE! Great to have you here Mike. Suggest you folks keep the specifics of other forum wars elsewhere, but we definitely try here to keep our own forum issues completely open and transparent - hopefully the issues will remain few and far between, and at least the lack of advertisers removes some potential conflicts).

Just for the record, I love the big lug, even though he is an anarchist

Well, I did start by saying "Not to stir the pot," didn't I? That absolves me of any blame.
Sorta like how my grandmother would always add "Bless her heart" in her sweet southern accent, which allowed her to get away with saying things that otherwise maybe weren't so nice. "I saw Margaret yesterday, and bless her heart, she's fat as a cow."
