New tricks in iZotope Ozone 12

There are a few new tricks in this update of Ozone which may be of interest. Here's what they say about them:

UNLIMITER
Your new “undo” button for overly compressed audio, using cutting-edge machine learning to bring back lost transients and revive tracks transparently. Just set the threshold (or click Learn) and turn up the missing peaks to restore punch and open up tracks for easier, cleaner mastering.

STEM EQ
Thin vocals? Overpowered drums? Impossible to fix without the mix file, right? Not anymore. Unlock unprecedented control over your master with Stem EQ. Avoid tedious mix edits by separately EQing the vocals, bass, drums, and instruments in your stereo bounce. With an easy, feels-like-magic flow, this is all you need to have the final say over your final balance.

BASS CONTROL
Lock in your low end in any listening environment. Whether you're fixing a weak mix, tightening a kick, or adding subtle weight, Bass Control lets you easily balance low end energy while enhancing balance, control, and punch. No more guesswork. Make sure your masters hit hard in the car, the club, and the charts.

IRC 5 LIMITING ALGORITHM
Push your masters harder than ever without the usual tradeoffs. Achieve outstanding loudness and stunning clarity with the new IRC 5 limiting mode – the most advanced algorithm yet for Ozone’s fan-favorite Maximizer. Effortlessly craft clean, open masters, even at high LUFS. No pumping. No distortion. Just pure pro polish.

There's also more control over the Assistant and a few other changes.

RRP £479 for Advanced, various upgrades and bundle options if you are logged in.

Certainly some great new features…everything from controlling the analysis time right up to working with ‘stems’ in a Master. Seems one has a lot more control, but even the Assistant has been greatly improved. Will definitely upgrade, but may wait awhile since Izotope is notorious for frequently dropping prices.

Huh - looks like they re-uploaded it with a new URL. Fixed hopefully.

The Unlimiter certainly sounds interesting if it really works to fix over-limited or compressed tracks.
