Opus solo cello, is it really bad?

I remember lots of negative comments like "no, I cannot recommend the solo cello" "Yeah the HW solo cello sucks" "Yeh the east west solo cello is horrid." so, with no expectations I installed it today and no, it's not at all bad. On the contrary, I find it very good. Absolutely usable at the very least. A good instrument played by a good musician, it seems to me. The same can't be said for the solo violin, which is basically a joke. Not worth the time to download it, actually not deserving to be side to side with the cello, whole different category. The harp is rather good fortunately, so the cello and harp alone justify the 220€ of the library for me. Downloads are huge so it will be a few days until I'll have all orchestral sections installed, for the time being here's a little improvisation with the cello:

I said it at the time it was released and got excoriated on the other forum.
I really believe that often it’s a case of one guy says something, others repeat it, and then it becomes the common opinion.
There were two solo violins. The first one was terrible, but the second one, I think is comparable to the cello.

very interesting, so I'll have to try it. I thought it was the same solo violin I purchased years ago, will report back.
As for the negative comments, there may be several reasons, not excluding the rare, but not impossible, case that a competitor in disguise is taking the opportunity to advertise his own product. But also of course, taste...
But I want to thank you Jay for convincing me to get the library, looks like a good purchase

Well, the annoying thing for me is that no matter which libraries you use you will create terrific music with them.

Nicely done, Roberto! Some really good digs in that improv, great example of what the library can do.
