Possibly an interesting (new?) development for reverbs.......
Obviously the guy in the vid has his bias towards this new wave based reverb clear, and you may want to skip some parts as he can be a tad dramatic, but interesting nonetheless

Tomi's impulse responses do sound good. I don't mind the dramatics in the video. He links to the science he relies on, and shows the results that he gets. That's the important points.
I am following this with some interest. We won't get new technology. In the end it will be a convolution plugin with hopefully high quality impulse responses. Nothing that hasn't been done before. In the end, he is creating sets of impulse responses with higher fidelity in the low frequencies. Depending on the plugin host for his IRs, it could result in an interesting stage placement tool.

The more I go back and forth between algorithmic reverbs and convolution reverbs and combining them, the less convinced I become that the choice I make makes a big difference. I have so many great sounding ones and how much I send to them on a bus seems to make a bigger difference than which ones I am choosing.
