Please list audio interfaces, plugins, and software instruments that have been announced as compatible.
I have one as of today, Cherry Audio synthesizers.

I've installed Sequoia on my office computer and so far so good with all programs. But I've also read 'suggestions' from some music companies to avoid updating for now, so my studio Mac is still on Sonoma. But you asked about audio interfaces. It appears my UAD Apollo Twin X is now compatible as long as the UAD software is the latest version (and it is). UAD describes clearly what to do when updating. Still waiting for many other companies to give the 'green light' though, so your list, if you eventually make one, should prove valuable.

This is a terrific searchable database for plugins and Sequoia compatibility -

Boy, considering how Apple seeds them betas and release candidates ahead of time, these folks sure are slow to get compatibility happening.

Why do you care at all? My music computer is not being used for anything else and I go with the policy of only updating it when a critical part of my infrastructure requires an update. So I pretty much only update when Apple's Logic raises the minimum deployment version bar.

Well, while that approach might appeal to some, I suggest it’s not for everyone, and for good reasons. New operating systems often bring improvements, advances in technology (often necessary to ensure compatibility with newer hardware) and new features....as well as a few challenges sometimes.
While I do feel that it may be wise to refrain from updating as soon as a new o/s is released, I also feel it’s beneficial to stay as up to date as possible. And not every person has the luxury of devoting a computer entirely to music applications. For example, my Mac Studio Ultra is also used for video production, and certainly the demands of that process far exceed music production. I also find it quite beneficial to be able to create and edit audio in one application and then utilize the audio in a video application. Yes, one can face challenges dealing with advances, so a cautionary approach is wise, But I also suggest it doesn’t mean one should therefore remain overly cautious or live in the past for as long as one can and therefore not upgrade or appreciate advancements when they are provided. Just my opinion of course.

Though I’m a confirmed Luddite, I think you make some good points Frank.
My philosophy for many years has been twofold:
1. If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it.
2. If there’s something you really wanna do and can’t without updating, take a deep breath and update.
To me, a consistent, repeatable working system with a few bugs I can work around is optimal.

This has come up a lot over the years. At some point you have to jump because there will be a new update to a plugin or DAW with a feature you need, and it won't be compatible with your 5 year old OS.
I've become more and more critical of Apple over this time. Releasing a new OS every year is totally unnecessary and causes huge problems. New computers use new OSes, so there is always a fairly quick uptake. Almost without fail they break existing compatibility and developers can only support so many OSes. Something like Waves with their WUP is not necessary for most Windows users for maybe 10-15 years, whereas for Mac users it's more like 3-5 years.
It should be possible to add specific new features to an OS without requiring a ground-up reinstall and breaking compatibility. It's absurd. Windows, in this regard, is far superior. IMO it's time for Apple users to start to throw their dissatisfaction at Apple, though I realise their business model is driven by this sort of built-in obsolescence.

I am a sucker for any new OS, I confess. I always feel an urge to update asap.
But I also am not an idiot and don't make the leap until I am reasonably certain all the stuff I rely on most will continue to work.

Looks like the last update was 4th October. Production Expert aren't going anywhere - not sure how frequently they will do it though.

On a side note, I am rather sceptical on the inevitable Apple AI implementation. Not really looking forward to it. Personally, I never move on until at least the second iteration of a new Operating system, and even then it depends.
Did Spectrasonics give the green light?
Do I need the new functions?
Am I missing out on security otherwise?

Kind of wish, Jay, that you had continued to create a list here. After all, two threads/heads are better than one!
As for Apple AI, yes definitely a topic for another thread, but so far it’s showing promise. However, much will depend on the needs of the user and also if one has the processing power to handle some of it.

I took the plunge today and all seems fine. Only losses were my old LinPlug synths, which I hardly ever use anymore.

Updated to Sequoia too. But not without bumps.
Main remaining bump is Apple Logic’s loops & sounds. I moved it to a separate disk as Logic allows you to do from Logic’s menus, done that before the update to Sequoia. But now Logic thinks all sounds & loops need to be reinstalled…..
And my startup’s disk os not sufficient for a full new download…… any suggestions from Apple guru’s here are welcomed

Ops, sorry to hear that. I am sure Jay will have some suggestions, I can't help here, I never used Apple loops & sounds. I would assume it is the case of pointing again to the relevant directory, but it's just a wild guess.

Thanks GR Baumann, it’s a minor bummer in so far as it’s not a main issue, but I do use them sometimes.
It’s that increasingly updates never seem to go as suggested. They are more complex as they develop, including the eco system it’s buit into.
Let alone 3party software like Native Instruments that increase the level and amount of problems ( which I didn’t mention but nonetheless cause their own heavoc)
All in all probably I need to anticipate that updates will cause unexpected problems that will take time to solve
