"Iremia" is a greek word for quiet and intimate, and that's the guiding principle behind our Iremia series of solo string libraries. We believe that it is the tiny little details and imperfections in a sound that makes it feel intimate - there is humanity in the fragility of a whisper quiet sound, so to create the most intimate and personal feeling cello library we could, we chose to focus only on very quiet sounds, recorded very, very close - in fact the closest microphone was floated inside the cello itself - on the outside a further 4 microphone perspectives makes it easy to shape the sound to your need.

To further explore the softest end of the dynamic spectrum in detail, we recorded every single articulation in Iremia both with and without mute, and you can even seamlessly morph between the two, something which is of course impossible in real life, but makes for a very expressive and dynamic virtual instrument.

You get 11 different sustains from a whisper quiet triple piano to a more robust, but still soft single piano. The 10 different moving textures are improvised in nature and especially good for chordal playing. you also get 3 different types of natural swells, each in 4,3,2 and 1 second lengths.

Intimate Cello Iremia is identical to its sister instrument Intimate Viola in concept, articulations, microphones and GUI so the two work really well together.

This is an incredibly intimate and human sounding virtual instrument, one that lets you achieve that fragile Scandi Noir string sound with ease
