Sonnox have a summer sale on. Their biggest one yet, they say: a 75% discount on their entire plugin range, as well as all their bundles and cross-grades.

Even though some of these Sonnox plugins have blown out many a birthday candle by now, they all remain extraordinary precision tools for most mixing and production tasks, in my opinion. I’ve purchased quite a few of them over the years and never once did it feel like I had spent money injudiciously. I keep using all of them on a regular basis.
Some favourites: Sonnox Envolution, Sonnox Transmod, Sonnox Dynamics, Sonnox SuprEsser and the Sonnox Reverb. (The EQ is great too, absolutely nothing wrong with it, but I have a few other EQ’s which I tend to reach for first.)

I can also recommend Claro. Its mixing tool is very good.

As a happy FYI - Sonnox recently announced they are changing their authorisation to allow for iLok machine licensing on all their main plugins (some of the most recent already had this). This should be effective now, but it's not showing up for me in iLok License Manager. Apparently this affects those like me who upgraded from G4 to G5 and they're looking into it. If you are in dire need I think they can issue temp licenses, but hopefully the fix isn't too far off.

That is soooo tempting! These prices are insane. I have a couple of their dynamics plugins, and they remain among my favorites. They are not your standard run of the mill plugins, a great deal of cleverness went into these.

I jumped on the Sonnox train a few weeks ago getting the Transmod, Inflator, and Limiter bundle and originally was only interested in the transmod. Have been totally blown away by the quality of them all and got the essentials bundle some days after. Compared to the original prices those were a steal. I love them a lot. Don't know what it is but there is something that makes them special. You get an elegant, musical result very quickly in most cases I find.

What was your favorite, Bill? I only have the Inflator and I didn’t really get on with it, though that could just be me.

This is now fixed - all my Sonnox licenses can now be machine authorised.
