Good news on the discount Georg!
A long day here, very tired and only had a listen to the video - not quite feeling this one yet, but it may grow on me (haw haw). Although Diego is a genius at inventing instruments, I’m not sure I’d use the results all that much.
When I have more time I’ll give everything a more thorough listen.

A lot of excellently crafted demos that instantly trigger cinematic scenes in my head.

Have you bought it Georg? I did look at some of this video...
I dunno. I'm not crazy about the percussive stuff, mostly because I already have so much of it and these don't sound as good as some of those. In general there's a lot of elements in those patches I'd likely never use, very sound-designy as opposed to musical.
This review has just gone up which is more of a straight bash through the sounds, though with exploring too. I'm outta time now to listen to it all. But from the first 10-15 minutes some good patches and some useable even though I do have quite a lot of those kinds of glorious soundscapes. That said I did hear a few sounds that generated the all-too familiar gear-lust.
What I did like however are the sound of the two new effects that they showcased in the original video. That may yet tip me over the edge, but as of right now I'm still on the fence, and I have everything Spectrasonics have ever done in the post-Omnisphere era.
Thinking about it, I think this is the weakest conceptually. All four existing ones are fairly broad appeal, but this really is very niche. It feels like the kind of buy you make only after a particularly good royalty quarter...

See, I am different than you in that respect, minimalist so to speak, I do not even have Kontakt installed, not yet, sleeps on my bigmac, except Omnisphere & Keyscape, Zebra and Logic I have nothing installed, but Omnisphere I try to keep on the ball, the only SE lib that is of no interest to me is that retro stuff, not my cup of tea, and last but not least, you make a living from that, on which I am admittedly a little bit jeleaous , so on top you do get stuff to test out and have fun with. I imagine you to have something like 20 TB of synths/samples, if not more, in your arsenal, which makes total sense as someone able to bring bread to the table with your art.

I am having a great time with twisted trees plus undercurrent and a bit of Rhodes and stuff. I am laughing while making tracks with it, so very enjoyable I find it.

Ok, I’ve been through all of that 2nd patch video. It feels to me that about 50% of them are uniquely suited to to scores for films set in forests, preferably creepy ones. Some gorgeous sound design, but in particular the patches with arhythmic elements are very hard to use in practice. That leaves (ha) about half that is useable, and of that most are similar to stuff I have quite a lot of. I reckon there were 6-10 that I really loved and felt distinctive enough to want to get them.

When I read your thoughts Guy, I wondered, if this library would have been launched without any hint on how the sample material was produced, and not named twisted trees, what kind of image and perception would it trigger?
Aleatoric perhaps? Cage? May be, I don't know.
As you know, I am new to the SE part of omni and jamming yesterday with it (The way Jay suggested is a game changer for me, instead of building massive multis with four instances only, pads, rhythm, FX and various, as I used to do.) I was reminded to my very early days and to a specific synthesizer's simplicity, the somewhat science fiction style design of the table top Yamaha TG33.
The interface simplicity of SE provides this feeling I suppose. But not only for it's simplicity, back then he was the direct competition to the Korg Wave station, and they both covered new territory and sonic possibilities.
Oh well, I am ranting.
Sure, sonic material is a matter of taste, and of course depending on what's at your disposal already. Personally, I consider twisted trees totally new sonic territory, but that's only me, who has not been in front of a DAW for over 10 years.
I find this very interesting, I remember when I got the sample material from Simon Stockhausen, who I was in contact with at that time, and send him the tracks I made with it. My brain works in strange ways at times, reflected in the musical variety and territory I try to discover.
See, it is always about new territory for me. I never before cooperated with other musicians in my entire life. (Except a few times the classics, during my pianist time.) Now I started a perhaps long term experiment, we shall see. I am cooperating with a Prof. of Virology. How funny is that? I must grin while I am typing that. Life has strange ways. He plays electric guitar, and I sent him some improvisations made with undercurrent and twisted trees. Will be interesting to see how this develops.
Best

fwiw. I wonder about a "tool kit". One that enables you to use knobs & sliders that the user interface of sonic Extensions provides, to build your own.
I think the first I would do is make use of such UI for patches from the Moog library.
I just ran some Moog arp through twisted space, and now I want this.

Oh boy, what the effects racks alone, from Nylon/Undercurrent/Seismic/Twisted provide for possibilities with the existing patches is just mind-blowing. I am grinning from one ear to the other while goofing around with them.
Honestly, I would have bought the eight FX Racks alone had they offered that as an FX only package without the excellent patches.
