"Zebra Refrakt is a collection of 150 patches for Zebra2, with the Dark Edition expanding the number of patches to 300. Refrakt explores a grittier, edgier side of modern action scoring, providing depth, distortion and dynamism. The collection’s focus is on supportive elements, especially tempo-synced patches and low end sounds. Refrakt features pulsing basslines, pounding rhythms, frantic sequences, punchy impacts, growling basses and twisted textures. A wide range of composers and artists have provided some inspiration for Refrakt, including Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross, David Buckley, Charlie Clouser, Ital Tek, Tom Salta and Ben Frost.
Each patch includes detailed programming via the modwheel and also Zebra’s unique X/Y performance parameters. The Dark Edition takes the original 150 Zebra2 patches, and reworks and remixes them for ZebraHZ, making use of the darker, more analogue colour. Zebra Refrakt is available for £24.99 +VAT, with the Dark Edition at £34.99 +VAT."
