Quite a collection! Personally I find that the upgrade price from Volume 2 to 3 is more than fair (about $100 at Audiodeluxe). The OTO Biscuit alone is worth that.

I agree they are wonderful plugins. But I do not think the upgrade pricing is terribly fair - and in fact I own all the Softube plugins I really want, most of which are duplicated in the volumes. I would love to add all three Summit Audio plugins, but frankly I've spent quite a bit with them, and even if I limit it to just the plugins in Volume 3 it is enough that I think the discount ought to be more than $50, which is all it amounts to for me. Granted I'd spend more than that on the three Summit plugins, but beyond that I don't see a lot of value for me, and I don't think the lack of those three is holding me back. Sadly I think I will be passing on this one.

I am curious - I've tried the Otto Biscuit, both Native and UA, and I don't get it. How are you using it?

The Biscuit needs to be "played" to get most of it, at least that's how I got to "understand it".

Hook up a MIDI controller and assign a few knobs like clock, filter and whatever is in the "brain". Put it on an Aux and automate some or all of the parameters and you've got some kind of "destroyed glue", sort of, works on drums, bass and whatnot. It doesn't work for every kind of music but I find it very useful as a playable filter/degrader which will work wonderful in my coming project.

Mostly I used it on synth tracks last night, gotta say it works well in that setting. Still not sure how I'd use it with other styles, but it was a lot of fun.

And a tip of the hat to UA who fixed me up with a demo reset quickly, and without question.

Still not sure I'll get it anytime soon, but when I have time and energy to do more with synthesizers I think I will have to add it to the tool set.
