V Tines MK1 from Acoustic Samples

Acoustic Samples, from which I own a delighful "character" piano, has just launched a half-sampled/half Modeled Rhodes Suite case.

https://www.acousticsamples.net/vtines
From the developper :
We found a way to combine both technologies by using samples as the sound source and all the rest uses modeling techniques. This allows the V Tines to weight only 80Mb (retina graphics and presets included), to really sound like a Fender RhodesĀ© with all of its imperfections and to have a fully continuous response (if you're not convinced, listen to the 127 velocity example in our video) as well as a highly tweakable sound.

Precise adjustments
Modeling also means customization, you can alter the sound of the V Tines like you would on a real electric piano and in a very easy way.

A real electric piano can be customized with a screwdriver, you basically adjust the angle and distance between the tine and the pickup. It's exactly the same on the V Tines, you just don't need the screwdriver.

You can adjust many different parameters for each note, for all notes or using a mapper for each parameter.
Etc.
I'm not a Rhodes expert by any stretch- in fact, I played one once 4 or 5 years ago ; a sad disapointment, not for the sound which was exquisit but for my inability to get something out of the keyboard though it was carefully serviced for recording use in the studio I happen to have it under my excited but limited anti-virtuosic fingaz.

A video to get an idea of what it can output - with the real frrrench accent we have here :) Tell me what you think of it but I find interesting tweaking options there :

They appear to have hit upon a real good formula, the team at AcousticSamples. Their B5 was excellent -- even though my favourite B3-emulation remains the one from GenuineSoundware -- , and this VTines seems outstanding as well. I already have plenty of virtual Rhodesses, but I'm tempted.
(Great work too from the person or people who did the GUI.)
