I think LX480 complete and VSR are different products and therefore I guess it will not be included into the Slate bundle, at least not in a first step. -> http://relab.dk/
But in the end it depends which route is more financially rewarding to the developer.

Yes your right Hannes, having a bit of a brain freeze there.
Thanks, Denis

Denis, I think that the developer is a really genius in making reverbs ... but not in questions of marketing and communication. So I was really happy for him when he teamed up with Slate. Certainly something to have an eye on, but it is a one man show and will take time.

Using the beta version right now I love it for live strings. It is very rich, even richer than B2 which has been my favorite in that regard up to now. At the same time it uses only half the CPU or lower.

I had fun demoing it...and it has been a nightmare as well as it kept crashing my Cubase. The developper has been very nice and tried to help but after a 2nd period of demo he generously granted me I haven't resolve my issues. May be they are system/config related.Have you experienced anything weird with it ? I really dig the sound of it, though.

I have no issues in Reaper and it is my main reverb now, despite being nearly as resource hungry as B2 in the current version.

I had GUI related issues with one of the beta versions but they are gone by now. Hope they can find the problem, the sound is worth it!

Thanx for chiming in Hannes. Sorry to read it's that ressource hungry now... B2 is only 2instances (2 engines) allowed on my DAW - just demoed it.

Erik, I just checked: In a project that has B2 with a dense dual engine setting and VSR S24 with a similar sounding result (similar, not exactly equal) I have

B2: 4.1 % CPU
VSR S24: 1.7 % CPU

... which is slightly more for VSR S24 than in an earlier version but still considerably less than B2. I was mistaken in my statement above.
Hope that helps, Hannes

Erik,
sad to say but I have to report crashes here again. No idea why, actually. Have submitted a ticket and will keep you informed.

It sounds lovely, but not lovely enough for me to spend the dough when I have so many good ones. Also, not wild about how it handles presets.

Thanx Hannes. I was only demoing it. Trouble is, I have difficulties uninstalling it - after many install, uninstall, using a previous version nicely given by the dev - and the project I used it for (thankfully a 4 track thingy, just for trying the plugin) can't seem to reopen :it freezes when the "channel" is loaded (you know, the gauge when you launch a project in Cubase).

@Erik Hmm ... can you load the project in some 'safe mode' with disabled vst's?

With help of the Relab support a simple fix was found: I deleted a Preferences.xml file and everything works as ususal.
In the meantime I tried VSS3 but for me it can not hold a candle to VSR S24.
