Great news for the quality-conscious mock-upper: OrchestralTools’ long-awaited Berlin Brass is about to step into the arena — pre-order begins September 30th —, and judging by the video, it looks like it's going to be an entrance that will be impossible to ignore, and one that might well shift some long-standing loyalties. .

Yes, looks and sounds very promising (as much as one can tell from such a teaser). Kind of suggests some kind of divisi also, do you think?

I don't know the details, but it appears it includes several solo instruments for each section — four solo horns, three solo trumpets, three solo trombones (one of them bass), as well as a3- and a4-desks. No mention of a2's though.

BRASS-THE NEXT GENERATION!! Apparently, life wasn't tough enough for trombonists yet.
It seems that companies are really stepping up to the plate to get their products out and keep prices within reason, as the competition is getting fierce.
