SoundRadix / SurferEQ v2

From the developer:

SurferEQ is a ground-breaking pitch-tracking equalizer plug-in that tracks a monophonic instrument or vocal and moves the selected bands with the music.
Synthesizer filters can track the pitch to maintain the timbre of the sound throughout the instrument's voices. However, sound equalizers have always been static. While being effective for broad tone-shaping and room resonance correction, standard EQs do a poor job at maintaining the vocal or instrument's timbre as the music changes.

Enter SurferEQ: SurferEQ tracks the pitch of a monophonic instrument or a vocal source and can adapt its bands' frequencies relative to the music in real-time, maintaining the natural harmonic balance of the sound source and making it possible to shape the source's timbre relative to the notes being played.

Version 2 enhances those capabilities with control of Surf Time and Pitch Detection settings. It also adds gating features for each band and an external sidechain input which open up whole new worlds of possibilities, allowing you to make parts of your mix interact
in interesting and useful ways.

Here's what's new in the new version:

- Side-chain input: Makes it possible to use pitch from another track to process polyphonic audio tracks to make "space" in the mix.
- Spectral Gate (normal and reversed): Allows engaging or disengaging the EQ when the input level crosses a set threshold level.
- Live mode with zero latency
- Four new and extremely creative Harmonic Filter modes
- Morphing filters
- Surf-time control: Allows setting the speed at which SurferEQ will "Surf" from one note to another.
- HP and LP Surf-frequency limit: Allows setting a limit to the high- and low-pass filters when Surfing.
- Undo/redo
- PACE iLok provides easy installation and mobility
- Completely re-designed, retina-compatible and OpenGL optimized vector graphics UI
- Spectral Level Meters
- Frequency analyzer

SurferEQ 2 is compatible with Mac & PC and available in 64- and 32-bit AAX, RTAS, VST and Audio Units formats.
Limited-time introductory offer! To celebrate the release, SurferEQ 2 is now only $129 (reg. $199), upgrades from Version 1 are only $29 (reg. $49). Offer ends October 1.

I remember when V1 came out I thought this was a fantastic concept. Have you been using it, Piet? Would love to get some hands-on impressions from people.

Haven't used it yet, no. But it is indeed intriguing, so I'll be downloading the demo soon and spend some time with it.
Actually, I've just downloaded the demo in between typing the words 'soon' and 'and'. Gonna try it out this evening.

This definitely piques my curiosity.
