Been looking forward to a Serum update. Hopefully it will spark Matt (the Unfinished) to work his magic on it.

I still have the demo of this synth. It really is incredible but I've toyed with it here and there and listened to every demo I can find but haven't heard anything that sounds "warm" for lack of a better term...like the tones one might get out of Zebra or Absynth. Am I wrong or is this synth just not the best for that kinda thing?

Hi,
Serum is one VST-Synth I didn't buy. I'm still not sure if it will offer anything unique/special that I need.
I already have an overload of VST-Synth Collection to discover, and dig deeper into.
Listening to quite a good number of Serum demos, I still can't seem to get any GAS from listening to these demos. To my ears, it's a good sounding digital synth, but I don't find anything unique about it that is making me go Wow.. I need Serum now !
I'm sure Serum has a lot of fans, and users that love it. and who knows ... I might get it one of these days, but for the rest of this year, I'm very happy with my VST-Synth Collection.
A VST-Synth would have to sound extremely special, and unique to get me to buy it, and this has not happened with Serum, or any other VST-Synth I don't already have.
Cheers,
Muziksculp

If I were doing stock EDM/Dubstep or similarly influenced cues I think Serum would be the best thing in the world. but i'm not, thank God...
