So, I need a quick verdict from you guys. I'm horribly tempted to buy Cinematic Studio Strings while on sale, but as I already own Hollywood Strings, LASS, Berlin Strings, Spitfire Chamber Strings and Soaring Strings, it does feel a little indulgent and unnecessary. Yet, everyone raves about it being amazing.
Should I go for it? Yay? Nay? And why?

Light and Sound have a 50% discount on their Chamber Strings currently:
http://lightandsoundsamples.com/product ... rings.html
At 149$ they are priced very fairly. I do rather like their sound too. If Spitfire Chamber Strings are too expensive for you this might be an option.

Spitfire Audio's "Black Friday collection" put Chamber Strings PLUS Symphonic Evos at 412 € ! Because I've already got SSS. Tempted despite lack of funds and considering it could be overkill - I could do with the ensemble collection, but it doesn't exist anymore. The chamber size is really what I'mmissing in my somewhat limited arsenal and I enjoy the delicacy of the sound pretty much.
But I'm heading toward Galaxy's Thrill and Novo Intimate textures. Or Keyscape ? Though I could wait for that oneand I don't have any SSDs yet.

I think SCS+SSS sounds awesome.

(because of the silly nature of the time on this, thought I better post it here too) - Pettihouse - all 11 guitars and basses for $49 all-in for the next 45 minutes, then $69 for 48hrs, then $99 from 27th-30th

If you do buy the Pettinhouse, go to his site and watch Andrea demo his stuff. He's an excellent keyboardist and he plays keyboard guitar really well. It's instructional.

Yeah I just lower the volume of one library until they work as divisi, to fill the void that left me when I used LASS.
one adds weight, the other adds definition

You're totally covered

between Berlin, LASS and Soaring Strings, you can do all of the things I'd use CSS for. Try layering Berlin & Soaring and I think you'll get very close to the sound of CSS.
That being said... when Cinematic Studio Brass and Winds come out, your credit card needs to be out too

Seriously considering this...
