I'd call it sad - I have grave concerns for UA and a few others that have joined the race to the bottom. I've gotten my money's worth out of most of my tools, but I'd still be sad to see them disappear.

The three SoundMorph Sinematic libraries at $9 each is a great deal:

Piet De Ridder wrote: Nov 21, 2025 2:18 am It depends on what you’re using a compressor of course — for 99% of the times I think my tracks could do with some compression (which isn’t very often and usually very little, because I really don’t like (the sound of) compression on sample-based audio), I have more than enough excellent choices already — , but if you want to apply some compression specifically as part of ending up with a sound that evokes bygone era’s, this one offers a couple of things that make it quite unique and very useful indeed. (And definitely worth $12.9.)

A nice thing about Material Comp is that, on top of its 6 types of compression, it’s got a few other colouring and dynamic processes going — if you enable them — that can contribute a lot to the sense of ending up with audio that has that rear-view mirror. If that type of audio is part of the sonic and musical aesthetic you are aiming for, Material Comp is, well, I wouldn’t say a must-have, but definitely very, very welcome.

If however you merely want a solid and versatile compressor to perform the typical compression tasks, chances are you have the right tools for the job already and certainly don’t need add this one.__
Thank you Piet. That makes sense.
So it's more a special purpose tool. Not what I need right now but might become useful in certain situations.
Hm, I'll check the demo.

I think I upgraded from Standard to Advanced somewhere around RX6, and I've stupidly played the game of "Gotta keep updating to the Advanced version!" ever since, even though I don't think I have ever used one of the Advanced-Only modules. Seriously, I don't think there's ever been even one time.

For that matter, I'm not even sure if Spectral Noise Reduction (pretty much the only module I actually use) is any better in RX11 than it was in RX9. Or even RX6. But I'm a sucker for deals, so ...

I dunno. Maybe not so strange.

Being able to squeeze additional revenue from some plugins that were written 20 (!) years ago is just icing on the cake considering that the development costs were covered long ago. It’s like the EW model-doesn’t matter WHAT they charge for the Hollywood series or the EWQLSO series, it’s just…extra (over the marketing costs, I suppose.)

There’s SO much competition for the music software dollar. Developers must REALLY appreciate the burgeoning hobbyist market.

Edit-btw, are you saying they have a deal-any 10 for $100, or are you saying there are 10 UAD plug ins that sell for $10 each?

Any 10 of their non-hardware plugins for $100 - https://www.uaudio.com/products/uad-mix-tape-pro-bundle

BTW I do appreciate their graphic design in their banner here, even though it makes no logical sense it's just great.
