Heavyocity Sale - Damage 2 $299, $199 for existing owners.

https://heavyocity.com/product/damage-2/

I know Damage 2 is well loved, but I listened again to the trailer and it sounded so similar to Damage 1 (plus I own a bazillion other big percussion libraries) that I'm going to restrain myself.

Audio-Ollie: up to 40% off ... LA Modern Percussion and Nashville Scoring Strings each $199 - about 33% off. Not sure wether this is a good price compared to earlier sales, but it sounds reasonable to me for what these libraries offer.

Unfortunately, 33% off is only valid for iPad versions. Full versions only 20% off and no discount on any upgrades.

DJ Harrison's layback is 12$. Was 29.99. Guess that's the steep one :)

Up to 50% off various Mastering The Mix plugins - https://www.masteringthemix.com

Bassroom is only 25% off, but it's high time I bought that. One of the few tools I've found does actually bring something useful and new to the table.

Arturia have some great 50% off deals for the bundles. Of particular note, their FX Collection 2 - highly thought of, 23 plugs - is 199 euros, but for me and many it seems when you log in it drops to 69 euros. That's crazy good.

I'm not getting it.

Don't know what it is this year, but I am not feeling the least bit interested in this Black Friday. I must be cured......

....or probably that I've got more than enough tools to keep me very busy for a long time....

I hear you Mikeybabes, even though I have finally and pretty much guilt-free caved on Melodyne. I won't need it all that much, but the polyphonic editor is astounding and - here's the thing - it's something that I CANNOT DO otherwise! So it earns its place.

I often find that there's slight tuning issues on my guitar on some chords - maybe the guitar, probably the way I play 'em. I just did a test on a trial license, and Melodyne fixes them perfectly most of the time. The one weak spot seems to be octave detection - the two notes come out as one very often, and if the pitch is out only on one it can't be properly fixed - fudges are possible though. In general, however, it is miraculous. I don't love the workflow, I'll still be using Cubase's own variaudio most of the time, but this is a trick I had to have.

I had to uninstall my version of essentials to install 5 and make the trial work, then terminate the trial to put my new license in. I bought it from EveryPlugin, and converted to £ it was £130 from Essential to Editor.

Ok, here is a special one: Audiomdeling gives you a Voucher for (persistent) complaining. As I made it obvious in another thread here, I was not happy with the upgrade prices for AM instruments. When I feel like that, I usually tell the developer. He tried to convince me, their prices were good - they couldn't turn me and I kept insisting ... Fast forward a couple of emails sent, he replied with a voucher I could use on any upgrade. I guess my what did the trick in the end was when I made this example: My upgrade price from three solo strings version 2 (all strings except for the bass) to the full quartet version 3 was almost the same as a new customer buying the complete pack.

Now, I am pretty confident that some people will despise me for making that public. But hear me out! I am in a real dilemma here! Because if I wouldn't tell you, I would have done all of that just for myself in hindsight. And I actually did not complain to get a lower price - I never anticipated getting an individual offer! I did it because I think the company has good products and I think they should be more fair to their existing customers vs. just offering new customers a far greater deal. I hoped they would rethink their pricing policy for future upgrades and sales when enough people like me wrote to them.

You may make of that what you want, but I'd say, if you also complain (in a polite way) you could also get an upgrade voucher. Please, don't quote me on that, though! :P

More importantly - and this is my primary reason for making this public: If you also complain, the developer might actually think about changing future pricing policies. :)
