Valerie, I personally love the Valhalla reverbs, I own Valhalla Room. It's what I use mostly for instrumental, ambient-ish music. I also own Izotope but it's too complex for me personally. I find Valhalla very clean and their interface is real simple, allowing to experiment with many settings quickly. I haven't heard artefacts in the trails either.

I haven't tried UAD or Lexicon, though... Maybe download trials and hear for yourself? :)

EDIT: I own and have used Waves TrueVerb for years too, and like it. But these are reverbs I could personally afford, so I haven't explored the upper echelons of professional ones.

Does Spitfire Audio do Black Friday sales on any of their products? Specifically I'm looking at Albion One.

Added SampleTekk and Cinematic Strings deals.

Spitfire's policy used to be no sales except introductory ones, but that went out the window some time ago. From memory last year's Black Friday sale was bundles - who knows if they'll repeat that or do something else. It would be surprising to see ONE in a sale though, given how it's a brand new release with only a few days gone after the introductory period.

Hoping for the same. I do see Time & Space mentioning Spitfire Audio in there Black Friday Tease. So watch both closely.

Same experience here.

I hope we see something from ProjectSAM (even though they aren't a US company). I was kind of hoping they would release their promised 2015 update with a sale of some kind. I still need to get Symphobia 2 and Lumina.

Didn't they at one point say they would have periodic discounts for existing customers when they discontinued their incentives plan? I've never seen any notice of discounts in the last 1-2 years.

They usually do something around Black Friday. I can't remember exactly what they said about replacing the discounts - they're always pretty quick to respond if you dropped them a line though.

It seems somewhat entitled to contact them and push them about discounts :) But it will be nice to see if they do offer a sale this holiday season.

Waiting to see what fun thing Embertone does this year as well. Last year it was wind instruments. Kinda hope that they drop something new this year. :)

Does anyone have SoundIron's Temple Drums? The demos sound really good and at $32 it looks like a real bargain.

I never upgraded from Albion 1 to Albion One. I assume that's not any part of this SF deal as I see nothing about upgrades?

I'm wondering the same thing Lawrence. While I love the overall sound of Albion 1, I could never get along with the sloppy shorts or the various noise and tuning issues. Albion One on the other hand sounds pretty amazing and I believe those things are not an issue. I'm very tempted to upgrade. Lets hope the sale will include upgrades.

Can anyone here confirm that the string shorts are consistent? Any other comparisons between the two are welcome as well

Thanks jtnyc - Spitfire added, along with several new fx sales through jrrshop.

Probably worth keeping the specifics of the Sptiifre discussion to the Instruments and Libraries section - try the Spitifre thread here http://www.thesoundboard.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=49 , the shorts test here - http://www.thesoundboard.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=226 (which has a direct A/B between Albion 1 and ONE and the all-new Daniel James monster walkthrough here - http://www.thesoundboard.net/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=244

Hey all.

Got this in my email box today. Liine is having a sale on Lemur. Here is what they have to say:
"It’s the first time we’ve done Black Friday and we’re doing it big. Check out Lemur’s biggest ever sale at iTunes and Google Play now."
I have Lemur and don't use it a lot, but it's on my list of tools to better incorporate into my workflow.
