Exaxctly, MPB2 contains Neutron Advanced, but there is not Alloy 2 in the new bundle, maybe Neutron is now alloy2 revamped?.

I found a crossgrade in Plugin Boutique to MPB2 for only 171€ - $191 - £150 but they are asking for serial number of MPB1, but there is not serial number for MPB1, every plugin has their own, isn't?.

Just try one of the plug-in serials you got with MPB1.

FWIW, looks like JRR Shop and Audiodeluxe may shave off another few dollars. Will likely go for it at the weekend.

I had a hundred bucks sitting in PayPal and AudioDeluxe knocked some off too so I upgraded my MPB1 yesterday for like $75. No-brainer at that price.

I checked but no, i have serials for all the plugins but not a single serial number for the bundle, maybe a fault from Izotope? , anyway I opened a support request and I'm waiting for the answer.

No, I'm the same - no serial in there for MPB 1. I'm guessing the serial of any element there will work though.

i received the answers from Izotope support, they assigned me a new unique serial number for Music Production Bundle 1. Great support as always, thanks Izotope.

Music Production Bundle 2 installation process stalls on each plugin for me. No go so far. Waiting for answer back from iZotope support.

I've been trying this out on a bunch of different material and so far I'm very impressed by how pleasant it is to work with. There are a few tiny tiny quibbles so far (I wish you could re-order EQ bands once you drag nodes out of order like you can in TDR Nova and I wish the compressor needles turned grey in vintage mode when that band is inactive) but overall it's a win.

Being able to easily scale the effect of each module is terrific, the sound itself is solid and predictable all around, and Track Assistant is freakishly good at interpreting what I've thrown at it so far. I was doing some podcast editing and it did an amazing job of identifying problematic resonances and getting me started with compressing the track transparently.

I'm going to have to try it on a full session to work with the masking features more.

Does anyone else have this bug?



I contacted support last week but haven't heard back yet.

I finally bought it in JRRshop with -21% and they do not ask for MPB1 serial, they simply send me a new unique serial for MPB2, but i cant test it yet, i'm in the middle of rebuild the studio so the next 5 or 6 days, and if there are not problems, i'm out.

Jason, I'll try to reproduce that on my end later today! From your video it seems I'll definitely encounter it...nasty bug.

So... The release dust have settled somewhat, how is everybody liking it so far?

Curious for feedback too. I thought I'd have ordered it by now, but it transpires I haven't. I think it's because with each passing month, the effort of learning a new toy is becoming a more insurmountable obstacle than getting the credit card out. Neutron looks really good, really clever. And slightly exhausting.

I can tell you I've used it on everything I've done since I got it, and one of the best aspects is that it presents new ways of approaching certain mixing problems.

For example, I tossed Neutron onto a podcast stem I was editing together last week just to see how it would deal with the problems (boxiness from recording in a small room, etc.) It not only found the settings I had been using with a different EQ but also identified some problematic resonances that had escaped my notice. It opted for a two-stage compression instead of my one, which turned out to be better, and it added the gentlest of excitement on just the low frequencies. The result needed less adjusting than I expected, and I ended up preferring it to my original (which took more plugins to accomplish the same).

I think that Neutron is going to be most appealing to folks like me who enjoy channel strip and effect rack plugins (Slate Mix Rack, Soundtoys Effect Rack, etc.) Except it's the Tesla to their BMW. I don't know that the individual modules offer anything that isn't better represented elsewhere (even in Ozone, as the obvious example), but together in the rack with the added intelligence features it's a tool I'm happy to have.

Sounds like a good idea, it's a pretty healthy demo period if it's anything like the rest of their stuff.

I'm still discovering little workflow improvement details. For instance I accidentally discovered that you can alt-solo frequencies without affecting existing nodes in the EQ. So unlike, say, FabFilter Pro-Q2 where you can solo a band only once you've activated a node, in Neutron's EQ you can alt-click anywhere in the frequency plot to solo that frequency without having to create a node.

Useful when you just want to sweep around looking for resonances without activating/deactivating additional nodes until you know you need them. If you find one, you just let go of the alt key and double click and you've got a node ready to do your bidding at that frequency.
