I probably won't ever depart from RME in terms of my main conversion/interface duties, but this does indeed seem like a cool thing.
Ultimately, what I really want is two or four channels of original ISA circuitry with both input and output transformer... and made with the loving care of the original UK-made units. I don't think that'll ever happen. But it sure would be nice, I love the later Neve designs that are cleaner and more hifi than the '70s consoles but still with euphonic coloration. So many records I love were made at Air Montserrat on the console that was, AFAIK, basically the prototype for the Focusrite Forte.
