Ooooh. From the website:
With the launch of the Lineage Series, we began redefining what modern orchestral libraries could be. Our ambition was clear: craft a world-class collection of premium string recordings and redesign the way they respond, so they can truly serve the composer.
For two years, we recorded, refined, and reimagined. Every detail was shaped around a single question: how can a virtual orchestra feel less programmed and more alive? All of it infused with the unmistakable ProjectSAM sound – warm, human, and distinctly European.
Adaptive Phrasing
Lineage Strings elevates orchestral sampling to a new level.
With Smart Lookahead enabled, Adaptive Phrasing becomes your intelligent performance engine: listening to your playing, analyzing musical context, anticipating phrasing, and selecting the most natural articulation for every moment.
Expressive legato, fluid runs, and organic phrasing — all unfolding seamlessly as you play.
Intelligent Arranging
Combined with the powerful Arranger, Lineage Strings delivers a depth of authenticity and musical cohesion previously out of reach – without complex setup, without programming, and without breaking your creative flow.
Full bowing control
Lineage Strings gives you precise control over string bowing. Down and up bows can alternate automatically, be set explicitly, or be overridden on the fly – enabling more natural and expressive phrasing.
Bowing direction resets intelligently when a new phrase is detected, keeping performances fluid and musical.
It says "expected Q2". No details on price yet.

Re: ProjectSAM Lineage Strings
Big Project Sam fan here and if it is as good as Lineage Percussion then I’ll probably take a close look at it. With so many string libraries currently available, at first it seems surprising to me that yet another one would soon be on the market. But then again, if developers don’t keep trying to improve upon other releases then in the future they probably won’t be in business for much longer. Looking forward to assessing this new library when it does become available.
