I have a nice upcoming job and for once it's not about creating sounds, but music!
I am looking for this actually for a intimate sounding string quartet (or even better a quintet with a double bass). I would prefer that the sound is relative dry as I am looking to blend it with (live) piano, some textural sounds and a bit in the scandi noir kind of vibe.
I was first thinking to use the solo strings from LASS (3) but would be great to know what's out there as I am not really up to date with what was released over the last years. I got also the solo strings from EW Hollywood stuff, but I really don't like them. Any recommendations that I should check out?
Edit: Just listening now to Abbey Road Two: Iconic strings and those demos sounds beautiful and really much the sound I am after. Any experiences here?

Decided to go for the Abbey Road Two library. Really love the sound of it, went with the core version as I am not really in need of those portamento's and could not justify the extra costs of the pro version. The core version was also much deeper discounted then then pro one. Bit odd pricing strategy they have this year.

hi Jaap, if you find the time I'd like to hear something, even two/three bars of those solos...Jaap wrote: ↑Dec 02, 2025 10:05 am Decided to go for the Abbey Road Two library. I wish I could have supply you with it already, but the plugin is constantly crashing and trying to get past a very disturbing and utterly dumb and stupid AI help bot on the Spitfire site to get a real human connection, but so far no luck.RobS wrote: ↑Dec 09, 2025 4:00 pmhi Jaap, if you find the time I'd like to hear something, even two/three bars of those solos...Jaap wrote: ↑Dec 02, 2025 10:05 am Decided to go for the Abbey Road Two library.
