Room 360 sends his goodwill to TSB
Ok, I pushed him to send TSB an equal 80% discount to the customer be he posted at VI-C. He didn’t feel comfortable doing that but as a gesture of good will, he’s offered us 50% off, which is very reasonable for those who didn’t snag it at VIC during their sale. I will be purchasing it.
PS-only good til end of June.

Picked it up yesterday, and at $33 I'm not at all upset about missing these discounts!

Wow, Bill. How did you get it cheaper? I paid $50. Did you snag it in the earlier VI-C sale?

The code will get automatically inserted at some point in the process, I think when you hit the cart. At least that’s how it worked for me.

It's 24$ again if you buy through Audioplugindeals:
https://audioplugin.deals/product/room360/
The developer wrote on Vi-C that he plans to have a more stable price after this sale.

Yeah, it seems a little like playing the stock market at this point. The product has been at four price points that I’ve been aware of during the last month. At least those who bought it when this thread started got a deal, even if it’s since been topped.
I have yet to purchase, due to the lack of an AAX version. I’ve considered downloading a demo and seeing if it works in Pro Tools with a wrapper, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
Best,
Geoff

If you're buying Room360 — as I did a few hours ago, from Audioplugin (thanks, Linos!) — to use as an AU in LogicPro, you might run into the same activation problem I ran into: you can't activate Room360 from within the AU-instance, because you always get the response: "Activation failed. No response from server." The solution, I found, is to load up the VST3-version of the plugin (I loaded it in VEPro) and then proceed with the activation. That works.

As of today, Audio Plugin Deals is having a storewide sale: “From July 2nd to July 7th, get 20% off everything with the code JULY4.”
If it stacks with the current Room360 sale, then the product should cost $19.20 at checkout.
Best,
Geoff

Re: Room 360 sends his goodwill to TSB
I did download it and used Blue Cat's PatchWork to host Room360 in Pro Tools. It worked fine for about 10 minutes; and then, it began to exhibit buggy behavior, which I've read at VI-C has been happening with Macs (which is my platform). I got a hung note and then noticed that a second sound source had magically appeared in Room360. I dragged the new sound source outside of the room, and the notes I played no longer sounded; but when I swapped the original sound source for the new one (placing the original one outside of the four walls instead), it worked fine again.Geoff Grace wrote: ↑Jul 01, 2025 10:03 pm I have yet to purchase, due to the lack of an AAX version. I should add that PatchWork has been very stable for me within Pro Tools, so I'm rightly or wrongly blaming Room360 for the time being. That said, I liked how it sounded and its ability to position mics and the sound source. It's a promising product.
And it does. It's probably worth gambling on at this price.Geoff Grace wrote: ↑Jul 02, 2025 12:55 pm As of today, Audio Plugin Deals is having a storewide sale: “From July 2nd to July 7th, get 20% off everything with the code JULY4.”

Does it work on a Mac now?Piet De Ridder wrote: ↑Jul 02, 2025 8:33 amThe solution, I found, is to load up the VST3-version of the plugin (I loaded it in VEPro) and then proceed with the activation. That works.

Worked fine for me with the AU. Remarkable piece of software already.

Yeah, it does. It still feels a bit like Windows-software that’s been ported to Mac, there are a couple of small GUI-related bugs and its responsiveness to mouse-activity isn’t always what you’d expect to be, but it works.
And it is a really great tool.
I do hope an update will bring automatable parameters though. That would turn Room360 into Penthouse360.

Re: Room 360 sends his goodwill to TSB
That's one of the things on the developers' list to add. So are stereo sources, output routing, more microphone models and improvements to the GUI. If these features get added, it will be a powerful spatialization tool. I am waiting for the addition of stereo sources and output routing before implementing Room360 into my template.
By the way, be careful when experimenting with microphone placement and setups. It's very easy to introduce unwanted filter effects when adding a third microphone for a Decca tree, for example.

I've been playing with this for a bit now, even bought a license!

Tis true you can create some "interesting" effects and artifacts with unusual configurations, but I am labeling that a feature!
