Soundtheory / Kraftur

SoundTheory, developer of Gullfoss, has released a new plugin, Kraftur, a multiband clipper/saturator. There are many of those already, but this being a SoundTheory release means there's a good chance it'll be something special. Haven't tried it yet, but I will soon.

"Kraftur has been carefully engineered to enrich your mix, allowing you to increase power while preserving the original integrity of its dynamics. Using new, proprietary DSP methods, Kraftur relies on innovative algorithms to avoid artifacts that come with more traditional approaches to soft clipping. Kraftur can also add clarity, punch or pleasant warmth to almost any audio material."

Price: €67,04

Yes, I saw the news and since it's Soundtheory it's probably worth the time trying it out.

When you get a chance to demo it, please let us know how it improves on a previous recommendation of yours, the impressive Tokyo Dawn TDR 6 GE? Thanks.

Tried it and, well, feel like it doesn't give me anything that I don't already have in other plugins already.

Same here. I deleted the demo after a day or two.
