If you've been holding off on the Clariphonic, now's probably a good time.

I read about and it seems to be good... but I have no idea why. Is somebody able to enlighten me?

I have 1st iteration and it’s really amazingly good, was the first time I could put the « magical » epithet newt to a plug in.
But you can overdo things easily.

I'm beyond cynical at magical plugins, but even I succumbed to the Clariphonic. Its high end manages to brighten without swishing everything around, and its mids bring forward without harshness. As Erik suggests, it's aural MSG, you gotta watch it. I know there's a wisdom that you set it and then halve it... I probably knock it back a quarter or a third rather than halve...
