ARCO: Bowed & Plucked Piano Ensemble (announcement from Fracture Sounds)

Post by Will Bedford »

Fracture Sounds' new library, Arco, is now available! This is a bowed and plucked piano ensemble, recorded in a beautiful concert hall with a range of inspiring articulations, and packaged into an easy-to-use interface for instant playability.

This is the first time a bowed piano ensemble has been sampled, and after working on it for over a year, we're delighted to finally release it.

sounds great - any chance you'd like to release it today? (I am a sucker for prepared piano and it's kin!)

ok, digging through the couch cushions NOW!

The demos are remarkable, this will be a very nice addition to my other oddball piano libraries! Not sure how you did it, but it is different enough from the others to be a worthwhile purchase!

Well done!!

Thanks everyone! I'm really pleased with the response so far.
Yesterday we added a new demo by Matt Hawken, which I just LOVE. It makes use of a lot of Arco's articulations - Bowed sustains, plucks, tremolos, spiccatos and glissandi. Check it out:

And here's a 'naked' version, featuring exclusively Arco.
